The Eudists in the World
Our congregation is an international Society of Apostolic Life. We have served in France since our foundation there in 1643. We reached out to Latin America in 1883 by opening several seminaries in Colombia. Expansion to other Latin countries followed and now includes Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Honduras, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Brazil. The Eudists settled in Canada in 1890 and eventually came to the United States in 1957. This was followed by further expansion to Africa, beginning with the Ivory Coast in 1959 and now includes Benin (both French-speaking countries).
